The all new Ikea Catalogue has landed and I’ll be honest, I’m totally smitten! So much so, that it was hard to narrow down favourite picks – but somehow I’ve managed. In terms of new furniture, there aren’t too many new pieces, but there are home accessories galore. All I can say is hooray!
You know how excited people get, anticipating a new season of their favourite series. Well that’s basically me when it comes to Home catalogues! So when a sneak preview of the Autumn/Winter 2017 Ikea Catalogue landed in my inbox, I was all over it.
Despite being a blogger I love to see things in print, so I’m looking forward to picking up a hard copy of the new catalogue next time I visit Ikea. But for now, I thought I’d share all the reasons I’m excited about Ikea’s new collection and give you a glimpse of what’s recently arrived in store and coming soon.
6 reasons to get excited about the new Ikea catalogue
1# TILLAGD -24-piece cutlery set, £40
I have to start with this brass cutlery set. I have been trying to hunt down an affordable brass cutlery set for THE longest time. Believe me, I’ve looked high and low and this set is incredible value – £40 for 6 place settings. And yes, I know – its way too early to start thinking about Christmas, but…. how amazing does this look?
Especially with these knitted texture plates. So festive and cosy!

2# ODGER, Chair, £65
Almost a nod towards an Eames chair and I have to say, I really like it. Especially in the deep blue colour way, but there are beige and brown options too. I think it would make a great dining or office chair. I haven’t had the chance to sit in one yet, so I can’t comment on whether it’s comfy.

3# MYRHEDEN Brass Frame, £12
If like me you spend hours on Pinterest drooling over the #girlboss home offices, I’m guessing you might like this next item. Not only is it beautiful brass, there are so many ways this could be used. Clip on your photos, inspiring quotes, to do list, fabric swatches. Then hang your keys or jewellery – the possibilities are endless really. I’ll definitely be swiping one into my basket on my next Ikea trip.

4# VASSAD Chandelier, £16 – in store from October
I know what you’re thinking – uh oh, we’re back to Christmas again. But there is just so much to swoon over in this shot. The chandelier really caught my eye though, it comes in black, white or red and is fantastically affordable. I’m not sure of the practicalities of having a real candle chandelier, but it would add so much drama to a room. I also love the look of the star pendants!

5# BILLSÅSEN picture ledge, set of 3 £9.95
I think these picture ledges are really different and fun. They come in pastel pink, mint green and dark blue and I reckon they would be ideal for a play room or child’s bedroom. Or displaying your random shards of glass collection of course ; )

6# REMSTA, armchair, £140 – in store October
There’s no denying it, velvet armchairs are everything right now, but they tend to be a little on the pricey side. If money was no object I’d be hot footing it down to Sweetpea and Willow to get my hands on an Eichholtz trapezium chair and a Hepburn chair for sure. But until that day, I feel that the Ikea REMSTA offers a great affordable option.

August 24, 2017 at 8:55 amI love IKEA – I just wish there was one closer to where I live. I normally stock up on their glasses and white plates while I’m there – and their accessories are awesome of course!

August 28, 2017 at 2:57 pmYou’re right. This season seems to be all about the accessories. And I’m not sure if the HAY collaboration is coming soon too? I must check the catalogue with the marker pen ready. There’s always an excuse to visit the restaurant in IKEA 🙂

September 4, 2017 at 12:07 amOh, how I love that cutlery set!!! But I can already hear my partner in my head: “You’ve spend £40 on few forks and spoons”? I don’t think that will go down well! 🙂 🙂
