Hello! Is anyone still out there….*tumbleweed*….anyone??
Does anyone still read blogs in 2024? In all honesty – I don’t know! I definitely do, but they’re mainly about travel or how to complete a particularly tricky part of a video game for my 12-year-old son. When I started this blog 8 years ago the blogging scene was very different, it was a brilliant way to connect with like-minded people, share ideas and maybe if you were lucky get to work with some brands that you love. It was pure fun and super creative!
Since 2018 (my last blog post) a lot has happened in the blogging world and my world. Some of it good and some of it terrible, it definitely didn’t inspire me to blog. I felt like I didn’t really have anything to say or share and even if I did, why on earth would anyone want to read it? Major imposter syndrome. Have you ever experienced it?
But yet even now people continue to find my blog, certainly not in the same numbers they did when I was actively posting, but somehow I still have readers from all over the world. They are even joining my mailing list to receive free printables (which literally amazes me FYI)!
This made me think, it’s finally time to put a little idea that has been spinning around in my head for the longest time into reality and see what happens. Bury the imposter syndrome in the rubbish bin where it belongs and see if I can make my little lifelong dream a reality. So I’m delighted to tell you that I’m opening my very own printables shop soon!
What exactly is a printables shop you may very legitimately ask? Well, it’s a place to instantly download beautiful planners, stationary, organising tools, labels, seasonal art and much more lovely stuff. I’m really excited about it and I can’t wait to share my creations with you!
Free printables library
Each month everyone on my VIP list will receive a FREE PRINTABLE straight to their inbox with a little message from me and you’ll be the first to know when my new printable shop Willow & Me Paperie opens its virtual doors for the very first time! Be sure to join the VIP list here if you haven’t already and you like the sound of receiving free printables each month. And if you joined over a year ago, you may want to sign up again because my mailing list got a GDPR spring clean.
Let’s just get this out of the way. Yes, I have named my shop after my dog Willow. Yes, I’m completely obsessed with her to a ridiculous level (friends and family can attest to this). Yes, she gets away with all her crazy, cheeky behavior because she is an absolute angel in my eyes and can do no wrong – no, I’m not sorry!
Back to blogging?
I think yes! The content of mine that has always proved popular is craft and DIY, so I think this’ll be more of a focus – I may even create some more craft videos for youtube. I made one which was really quite successful but I had no idea what to follow it up with. So please tell me below what you want to read more of and any printables you’d like me to design too. I really want to hear from you!
The Townhouse has certainly been under construction and we have completed some pretty cool projects lately. A faux fireplace TV Wall has added so much character and coziness to our living room, we totally transformed our downstairs bathroom on a budget, we created our dream gym in our garage, the kitchen got a lick of paint and some new furniture and we built a huge deck area at the top of our awkward multi-level garden. OK, I actually did very little of the deck, it was mainly my very clever husband but I was the visionary/head cheerleader.
I really want to make this a community here, like blogging in the old days – so if you read this post please comment and tell me about what projects you’re doing currently or have you just completed one?
Until next time…
