Who doesn’t love a cheese scone recipe that’s super simple, quick and darn delicious? Very few people – that’s who! This quick and easy super cheesy cheese scone recipe is just perfect for entertaining or when you just fancy a treat!
The first time we visited the America we went to a Red Lobster restaurant and fell in love with the warm cheese scones (or biscuits as Americans call them) served while you’re waiting for your main course. They’re so good, you completely forget that you’ve ordered anything else and by the time your entree arrives you’re already scoffed a dozen of them. Or is that just me? I have literally zero self control.
Anyway, we used to visit the US at least once a year and a trip to Red Lobster was always on the agenda – screw the Lobster, we just wanted those delicious cheese scones. But when my son started school, it got harder (and a hell of a lot more expensive) to jet over to America so frequently. We miss it.
That’s why I decided I needed to take matters into my own hands and make them myself!
For an extra naughty treat, slice in half and add a layer of butter. If you can refrain from gobbling the lot up, you can reheat in the microwave for 20 seconds in the following days to recreate that fresh out of the oven goodness.
